A True Friend Cares
Updated: Jun 12, 2022
As I think of the word care, the first person that comes to mind, aside from Mom, is my friend Julie. She's proven herself a faithful friend and sister in Christ more times than I can count.
February of last year (2020) my husband had a stroke. This hit my children and me like a ton of bricks. Once again, Julie stepped in making sure my 19 year-old son had food while I was at the hospital with my husband.
A few weeks after my husband's release from the hospital, our state shut down due to Covid-19. During this time I had to take him to the ER. I wasn't allowed stay with him. I have never been so upset in all my life. I called Julie to pray. She did just that, but she also came and sat with me in the parking lot of the hospital. During this time a tornado warning was issued, however in spite of this, Julie stayed with me until hubby was released from the ER. A true friend indeed!
Recently, I had Covid, was sick for a eight days and then ended up in the hospital for almost a week. Julie again was there to help. Making sure my family and I had food, she checked on me while I was in the hospital, and prayed for me. She is truly a blessing from God. I pray for her and strive to be the friend to her that she is to me.
